Happy New Year NASCAR fans! We are rapidly approaching the 2009 season. The other day on the radio I heard TV rights for broadcasting the 2009 NASCAR season cost almost 4 1/2 Billion dollars. And an untold number of billions of dollars will be spent on events & merchandising. This got me to thinking about all the hundreds of jobs that have to get done before, during and after the checkered flag run.
With this in mind, my mission at Behind The Scenes Racing is to uncover all the amazing stuff that goes on “behind the scenes” in Motorsports. This week I’m talking with Todd Welch, a Crash Site Specialist at M.I.S. in Brooklyn, MI. Todd & I will talk about what has to happen in a crash cleanup to get that race going again. Sounds like a lot of pressure! We’ll find out this Wednesday at 8 PM so please leave your questions for Todd by clicking on the comments link below.
